GOD/DOG

GOD/DOG, Installation, Mixed Media, Variable Size, 2019, NYC.

GOD is a wall installation of variable size where cardboard signs from homeless men and women are used to compose the word God as if viewed through a mirror.
The work creates a dialogue on the indifference and shame of an extremely pyramidal and overly exclusive society.
The signs were recovered through the exchange with an equal number of cardboard signs painted by me.
The subjects of these paintings were anthropomorphic animals, each holding a blank sign.
A sign where the exchanger could, once again, re-write their cardboard message (or a new one).

Documentation: exchanging process.
